The White River Bass Masters (WRBM) hosted their 4th tournament of the 2015 regular season at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, IN, on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Most of Indiana had been hammered by rain the previous two weeks as the remnants of Hurricane Bill swept through the area. Much of Indiana flooded as a result of the constant rain. The Saturday before the tournament seemingly was the last day of the weather pattern and the wind blew strong all day pushing the system to the Northeast. The good news was tournament day was a beautiful day with temps in the high 70’s and moderate winds…plus the fact the tournament venue is a natural lake so the water levels and color weren’t impacted as much as other types of waters. WRBM had 23 anglers participate in this event…the lowest turnout of the season.

Wawasee proved to be a challenge for the field to get keeper bites. However the talk at the dock that non-keepers were plentiful. Danny Spratt was the best to weed through the bites and brought 4 keeper bass that went 6.52 pounds and good enough for the tournament victory. Josh McDermott took second place with 3 bass that went 4.68 pounds. Brad Breeden took 3rd place honors with 3 bass that weighed 4.44 pounds. Big bass of the tournament went to Tim Richardson with a 2.61 pounder. Tim also took 4th place with a total of 3.9 pounds. 5th place went to Jim Lorts with 2 bass that went 3.27 pounds. WRBM will be at it again on July 12 at Patoka Lake near French Lick, IN.
