Cowan Laps the Field with 17 Pounds!
White River Bass Masters hosted the first event of the 2017 season at Lake Monroe on April 2nd. The field of 30 anglers was met with an unseasonably warm day with high winds. The wind didn’t seem to have an effect on Kevin Cowan who won the tournament with a limit that weighed in at 17.83 pounds more than doubling the total of second place and more than second and third place combined. Second was returning member Fred Crawford who had 2 fish that tipped the scales at 7.43 pounds. Third went to Tim Cooper with 2 fish that weighed 7.16. Big Bass went to new member Kris Nichols who weighed in a single bass that tipped the scales at 6.85 and was good enough for 4th place. White River Bass Masters has grown significantly this season with 11 new members. Please join me in welcoming them to the club.
Our next event will take place at Sullivan Lake on April 30. Check the message boards for specifics and pairings.
