Johnny Miller Leads the Pack Weighs a Solid Limit and Wins Geist
WRBM conducted the second tournament of the 2018 season at Geist Reservoir on May 6, 2018. The club was greeting with nice weather for the most part with some showers near the end of the day. Water temps were around 66 degrees which had a lot of bass on their beds, however reports indicate that the bass were skittish and not fully committed to the bed. Fish were able to be caught but mostly the males. The bigger females were hit and miss and very difficult to catch. Most of the anglers weighted at least 1 or two bass with the exception of the four anglers who successful enough to bring in a limit of largemouth. Johnny Miller was the most successful and brought in a limit to go 11 lbs. even. Coming in second was Kevin Cowen who had five bass for 10.26 lbs. Taking 3rd prize was Steve Haas who had five bass for 9.99 lbs. Danny Spratt had five bass to go 8.97 lbs. and good enough for 4th place. Rounding out the top 5 was Jeremy Spangler who had 3 bass that weighed in a 7.17 lbs. Big Bass of the tournament went to WRBM newbie Terry Gootee who weighed in a nice 4.45 lv’er. WRBM heads to Tanners Creek on the Ohio River for the 3rd tournament of the 2018 season on June 3, 2018.
