Josh Cole Nets his First WRBM Win from the Back of the Boat
WRBM conducted the third tournament of the 2018 season out of Vevay on the Ohio River on June 3, 2018. Ohio River is a notoriously tough fishery and that reputation held true during this tournament. The best angler on this day accomplished the win from the back of the boat as a co-angler. Josh Cole took the win, his first with WRBM, by bringing 3 bass across the scales that weighed 3.88 lbs. Coming in second for the second tournament in a row was Kevin Cowen. Kevin nearly took the win with only one fish. Kevin weighed a very nice smallmouth bass that weighed 3.71 lbs. and good enough for big bass of the tournament. Jim Lorts came in third place by bringing in 2 bass for 2.58 lbs. The strong finish has secured Jim at the top of the Angler of the Year race. Coming in fourth place was Danny Spratt with 2 bass for 2.5 lbs. and fifth place went to Tim Cooper with 2 bass for 2.43 lbs. WRBM heads to beautiful Brookville Lake for the fourth tournament of the 2018 season on June 24, 2018.
