WRBM conducted the second tournament of the 2019 season at Morse Reservoir in Noblesville Indiana on May 5, 2019. The morning started off very chilly and the field was blessed with great weather as the day progressed. Water temps were in the high 50 degrees and into the 60’s by days end. The recent rains had the lake stained with a lot of debris floating and piled up in places. WRBM only had 18 anglers participate in what turned out to be a surprisingly tough bite with only 1 limit of bass weighed in. Jim Lorts was the proud owner of that limit which weighed enough to take the win with 10.57 lb.’s of bass. Second place and big bass honors went to Kevin Cowen who weighed in 3 keepers for 9.79 lb’s and anchored by a beautiful 5.42 lb. “big” bass. Third place went to Josh Cole who also weighed in 3 keepers, his going for 7.97 lbs. Steve Hass wound up in fourth place with 5.59 lb.’s and Jeremy Spangler took fifth place with 5.54 lb.’s. In total WRBM had 18 anglers bring 20 bass to the scales for a total creel limit of 53.32 lbs and an average weight per bass of 2.66 lbs. Surprisingly low creel for early May in Central Indiana. WRBM will now focus its attention to the third tournament of the year scheduled to take place at Patoka in French Lick, IN, on June 2, 2019.
