The White River Bass Masters (WRBM) conducted the 3rd tournament of the 2012 season at the White River in Indy (Broad Ripple Pool) on Sunday, May 6. The river proved to be a tough venue with the rising and falling water it produced over the last several days heading into the tournament and on tournament day itself.  The main river was virtually un-fishable from current and water color so the anglers focused on the Frog Pond, Swan Cut, Landings, Sandy Point, Condo Cove and the Upper Pit.  Seasoned river angler Craig Jurgonski crossed several state lines to fish this tournament and took the 1st place prize with 5 bass that went 9.56 lb’s. Craig, owner of River Rat Tackle and a sponsor of WRBM, used a jet boat and his river knowledge to bring in 4 smallies with 1 largemouth to the scales for the win.  Todd Irwin took second place with 5 keepers weighing 8.18 lb’s and Todd’s co-angler Cory Drake took 3rd place with 4.75 including the big bass of the tournament that went 3.8 lbs. Rounding out the top 5 were Bob Foxworthy with 3 bass weighing 4.15 lbs. and John Miller with 3 bass that went 3.56 lbs. WRBM’s next event will be on Sunday, June 10, at Monroe Reservoir in Bloomington, IN
