WRBM 2013 Cabin Fever Tournament: March 23, 2013
|Place||Boater||Co-Angler||Total Weight||Big Bass Weight|
The Central Indiana bass fishing community was there to witness and attest the single largest 5 bass creel get weighed in at Geist Reservoir during the White River Bass Master 2013 Cabin Fever Team Tournament on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Brian Johnson, known as BJ in the community, and FLW touring pro Jacob Wheeler made history by weighing in 30.48 lbs. to comfortably win the annual tournament put on by WRBM. BJ’s and Jacob’s bag also included the big bass of the tournament, a huge 7.22 lb. largemouth.
Geist continues to put out huge pre-spawn bags and big bass. Including Johnson’s and Wheeler’s 7 pounder there were 3 bass over 7 lbs. weighed in on Saturday. Plus there were numerous 5 and 6 lb. bass walked across the stage. There were several limits weighed in and 16.5 lbs. was only good enough for 5th place. Needless to say Geist’s bass fishing is in good shape.
White River Bass Master member Todd Irwin and Kevin Voorhis took second place with 21.03 lbs. They were followed by Richardson and Hicks with 19.89 lbs. for third place and Hopkins and Miller with 19.08 lbs. for 4th place.
