The White River Bass Masters (WRBM) held the second tournament of the 2013 regular season at Geist Reservoir in Fishers, IN, on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Central Indiana had experience bad flooding during the week preceding the event which had mudded up Geist considerably. However the field found out that Geist will still kick out some good stringers in the spring even in the muddy water. WRBM rookie Josh McDermott took the win in only his second event with the club. Josh brought in a solid 17.59 lb. 5-fish limit and easily won by a 5 lb. margin. The win combined with a 3rd place finish at Patoka has Josh sitting in the lead position of the 2013 points race. Todd Irwin also brought in a limit to weigh in 12.16 lbs. good enough to secure second place. The limits kept coming and Rick Goodyear followed suit with a limit worth 11.83 lbs. for 3rd place. Rounding out the top 5 were Craig Penwell with 4 bass weighing 10.89 lbs. and Jason Pope with 3 bass that went 10.83 lbs. Big Bass for the tournament went to Cory Drake with a 5.89 pound bruiser-largemouth. WRBM will be at it again on Sunday, May 19th, at Monroe Reservoir in Bloomington, IN.
