The White River Bass Masters (WRBM) held the 3rd tournament of the 2014 regular season at Lake Monroe in Bloomington, IN, on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Monroe is historically a tough fishery and it lived up to its reputation on this day. WRBM arrived to the lake to find it 5 feet above summer pool, dropping quickly and the fish coming out of the spawn. This combination proved tough on the field and catching a keeper was a challenge.
Only one angler was able to put together a five fish limit on this day. Todd Irwin (TI) weighed in 5 bass that went 9.54 pounds to take the win. The only other multiple fish bag was brought in by Rick Goodyear. Rick took 2nd place honors with 3 bass that weighed 6.56 pounds. Rick also took the big bass prize weighing in a 3.23 pound Largemouth. Coming in 3rd place by .04 pounds was Steve Haas. Steve weighed in 1 largemouth that went 3.08 pounds. Rounding out the top 5 were David Replogle with 1 bass weighing 3.04 pounds and Tim Richardson with 1 bass weighing in at 2.95 pounds. WRBM will be at it again on June 22 at Mississinewa Reservoir near Wabash, IN.
